Q: GPS module exists but no coordinate information?

A: 1. Check whether the GPS module exists.

2. Confirm whether the GPS antenna is in good contact and whether the antenna is disconnected. It is recommended to place it in a place with a strong signal. Pay attention to some The car glass shielding film will shield and reduce GPS signals.

3. If you are testing in a room, the GPS antenna is in the room and the signal is shielded. It is recommended to place the GPS antenna outdoors.

4. The surrounding environment impacts such as tree shelter, tunnels, driving near tall buildings and elevated, thunderstorms, etc., may cause GPS There is no signal, or the wrong signal is received.

5. Use a universal meter to measure whether there is a 3V voltage output at the GPS wiring port. If there is no 3V voltage output, check whether the GPS module is broken, and check whether the IPX feeder link is broken.

Q: Is the GPS location displayed on the map biased?

A: If the GPS module has been positioned, it means that the signal is valid. There are many reasons for the problem of deviation. Government restrictions, error allowances,

GPS signal is interrupted, etc.; the actual satellite map may be biased due to safety considerations. Generally, GPS correction can be used to solve the problem.

Questions related to wireless module

Q: What should we keep in mind if using 3G network?

A: 1.We should clear that what module we are using, like WCDMA, EVDO,TD-SCDMA, then use the corresponding SIM card.

2. Make sure server IP and port correct or not, signal strong or not for dial, 3G dial successful or not.

3. If fail to dial, please check 3G antenna connection, weak signal may fail to dial.

4. If SIM card has not enough 3G data, dial fail too.

Q: If device’s 3G signal not online or no video, what should we do?

A: Press INFO button, enter system information page and check SIM card exist or not, signal weak or strong, dial successfully or not, antenna in good condition or not, 3G data enough or not(we can change the SIM card to check).

Signal good but fail to dial, check the central number and port correct or not. If all correct, check the device number being occupied or not.

Q: Why does the 3G signal not stable, video lagging a lot?

A: In rural areas or some corners far away from city center, the WCDMA and EVDO signal maybe very weak, so the video will be lagging or no video. Secondly, if the frame rate of sub-stream is very high, but the 3G network not good enough, then the video quality will not good too.

Q: Wi-Fi signal 60/100 or above, but fail to connect?

A: If Wi-Fi setting is correct, normally the signal has 30 or above it will connect successfully. If the device can not be found in the local network, then check if the SSID and password has been set, including the IP address.Additionally, check the encryption type and authentication are set according to rules.

Questions related to monitoring platform

Q: DVR is on, but no vehicle or video online displaying on the platform, why?

A: Firstly, please confirm that if the center registered server is turned on and online, then check device number being occupied or not.Secondly, check the server center IP and port setting right or not; if the the server and the device communicating via inbuilt 3G, please check if the module(WCDMA, EVDO) match with the specific SIM card. Thirdly, check the antenna contact good or not, data access and center number setting right or not. If problem not yet solved finally, collect as much data as possible, it can help our technicians a lot.

Q: Device is online, but no video displaying, why?

A: Please set a low sub-stream to transfer image, if the rate is high, the network will limit it in a upload restriction range, then the transmission speed will get slow; another situation is the network signal is bad, it will also result in no video.

Q: The DVR reports normally on the client end, but can't see the video after using it for a period of time, why?

A: First, check whether the information on the host side shows dialing. If it keeps dialing, it may be that the SIM card's data has been used up. Replace the SIM card for testing. Secondly, check whether the host's device number has been tampered with, and the host whose device number has been modified needs to be reported again in order to add vehicle information; again, if problem still exist after the card changed, we need to check whether the 3G module of the host is malfunctioning.
